Bacolod: Mambukal's Seven Waterfalls

After our work in Iloilo City, my officemate and I decided to join our other officemates in Bacolod City before going back to Manila. Bacolod City is just an hour away from Iloilo City via Ocean Jet.

Our officemates recommended going to Mambukal Resort. Mambukal Resort is located at the foot of Mt. Kanlaon in Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia, Bacolod City. It is around 45-minute travel from the staff house in Eroreco.

When we got to Mambukal, we ate lunch first before trekking to the 7 falls. At the start, the trail was easy. We easily spotted the 1st falls. Unfortunately, swimming is not allowed in the first five falls.

After taking pictures, we continued our journey. Going to 2nd and 3rd falls was not-so-easy trail for me. I stopped several moments and catch a deep breath.

The 3rd falls:

We didn't see the 4th and 5th waterfalls because there was a landslide. Going to the 6th waterfalls was becoming more difficult for me. When we reached the 6th waterfalls, it was crowded. We only watch the locals jumping from the cliff towards the water. And then we continued to the 7th falls.

According to the local girl, from 6th falls to 7th falls, it will take us another 30-minute walk. It was a long hike and we passed-by few streams.

And because we’re a bit exhausted, we decided to rest.

Some rock formations the tourists made:

All my hardship trekking to the 7th falls washed away when we reached the 7th falls. It felt like heaven for me.

The water is really cold like freezing water. It was not deep. We enjoyed swimming because there were few people only there, less than ten people including our group. Usually, others settled on the 6th falls.

After 30 minutes, we decided to go down and go to the dipping pool to relax our body.

Overall, it was fun. I enjoyed it a lot. Stress reliever.
